Scorers


You are invited to become a trained scorer.  Join our team and contribute to the success of the Performing Fine Arts Assessment.

Qualifications for Scorers

  • Three (3) years of classroom teaching experience – minimum.
  • A certified Florida Department of Education Dance, Music or Theatre educator.
  • Experience in curriculum writing at the local, district or state level.
  • Experience in assessment development at the local, district or state level
  • Membership in of one of these professional organizations (FATE, FMEA, FDEO) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of NGSSS in Dance, Music and Theatre.

Process 

  • Complete the online application by May 6, 2014.

  • Your application will be reviewed by the project Steering Task Force using the criteria below.
  • If recommended by the Task Force, you will receive an invitation to join the summer training and scoring.
  • You must be available to attend the summer face-to-face "Work Sessions."

Successful applicants

 Scorers will:

  • attend the face-to-face "Work Sessions," on
    • June 11, 12, & 13 in Orlando at the Holiday Inn, Lake Buena Vista, WDW
    • June 23, 24 & 25 at Davenport School of the Arts
  • be trained to score short answer, extended response and performance tasks.

Remuneration

  • Scorers will be compensated $1,670 for participation in the two summer "Work Sessions."  Scorers will receive a stipend of $835 per “Work Session,” or a total of $1,670 for attending both “Work Sessions.”
  • All travel expenses will be covered by the Project.
